Take back your share of billions in lost money
It’s estimated that £26.6 billion is sitting in unclaimed, inactive, or lost pension pots.
This is a staggering increase since 2018, when the figure was £19.4 Billion.
In many cases, this is attributed to people moving jobs and losing touch with past occupational or auto-enrolment schemes.
As such, everyone is urged to double check they haven’t ‘left anything behind’ – this can be done by following these steps:
- Make a list of all the employments you have had
- Look through your paperwork and see if you can link any employment to a pension scheme
- If in doubt whether any employer had a pension scheme, get in touch with the employer and ask or, use the Government’s Pension Tracing Service to find contact details of any employer’s pension scheme
Once you’ve established if you had any pension schemes that you are no longer in touch with, contact the provider or employer, and get connected to your pension again.
