Beating the scammers

There are some staggering and very sad statistics when looking at how many people have been targeted by fraudsters and how many lives have been affected by large financial losses when transferring their pension.

For those that work with us, you won’t be pulled in by unsolicited ‘financial advice’ – however, you may hear family, friends or acquaintances talk about transferring their pension, and you may wish to recommend they visit a new website which has a pension scam predictor tool. You just need to answer a few simple questions and then the tool will flag any concerns, give you questions to ask the adviser, and give an overall score as to the likelihood that this is a scam.
